INSPIRE regularly produces the journal Networks, which is a collection of papers written by academic staff within our University. Issues of Networks are associated with learning and teaching related themes and events, and INSPIRE makes regular calls for papers from academic staff within the University, to be considered for publication.
We have continued to use peer review for the papers in this edition of Networks. Our intention is to use peer review to improve scholarship and encourage authors who may wish to develop their writing for submission to external journals.
Contributions to Networks should conform to the style guidelines (.doc) which are incorporated into the style Word document template (.dot).
Conference Presenters may submit either a Paper or a Report for inclusion in our annual Conference Proceedings.
Papers should be a maximum of 2000 words. Research and learning and teaching development activity described in papers will be located in the relevant theory and will contribute to national/international debate. Usually papers of this length will contain between 15 and 20 references. Papers will be peer reviewed by independent reviewers.
Reports may be less theoretically grounded than full papers, and would normally contain up to 5 references. Activity described in reports doesn't have to be new to the field - it may represent the implementation of something done elsewhere within the Anglia Ruskin University context. Reports are usually descriptive in style and are designed to enable colleagues to repeat/try out the activity for themselves. Reports should be a maximum of 1500 words.
For further information email Sharon Waller who welcomes your comments, suggestions and enquiries regarding submission of papers or back issues.
Please note: Networks is now available online and is freely accessible from our website. Please email Sharon Waller if there is any reason why your report or paper should not be made available in this way.
