Equality and Diversity website

The TeachInclusive equality and diversity resource helps to minimise the barriers to learning experienced by students with different needs and expectations. Research has found that an inclusive approach has a positive impact on all students' learning experience, whether or not they have specific learning needs. The TeachInclusive website has been designed especially to help you make your teaching more inclusive.

Mental Health and Emotional Distress

Supporting our Students' Well-Being: A Guide for Staff was produced as an output from our project investigating our support for students with mental health issues and distress, Mind The Gap 2, funded by AimHigher. This guide is intended to help you support students who may have mental health difficulties or who are enduring emotional distress. This guide is intended to help you support students who may have mental health difficulties or who are enduring emotional distress. It should also help you to identify those who might need additional help from our specialist Student Support Services.

Toolkit for Equality and Diversity Training Evaluation

This Toolkit was developed as part of the Fireworks: for Equality in the Fire Service Project, a project supported by the European Social Fund and undertaken by Anglia Ruskin University. The Project identified that, in many cases, fire and rescue services were unable to estimate whether their equality and diversity training was having any impact in the workplace. This toolkit was highly welcomed and is in widespread use.

Guide to Evaluating Equality and Diversity Initiatives

This Guide was developed as part of the Fireworks: for Equality in the Fire Service Project, a project supported by the European Social Fund and undertaken by Anglia Ruskin University.  Although this document has been designed with the Fire and Rescue Service (FRS) in mind, it also serves as framework for all practitioners and organisations involved in the development and delivery of initiatives in the area of diversity to reflect on their efforts and draw out valuable lessons.
