The Staff and Education Development Agency (SEDA) Professional Development Framework provides recognition for higher education institutions, their professional development programmes and the individuals who complete those programmes. Anglia Ruskin University (through Anglia Learning and Teaching) became a SEDA provider in January 2009.

The SEDA Framework uses a range of named awards to recognise different types of professional development. At Anglia, there are currently 6 courses which are linked to 5 of the SEDA named awards. These are:

  • Action Research into Professional Practice (Award: Action Research)
  • e-Facilitation (Award: Supporting Learning with Technology)
  • Inclusion and Diversity: Implications for Practice (Award: Responding to Change in HE)
  • Multimedia (Award: Supporting Learning with Technology)
  • Learning and Teaching in Practice (Award: Supporting Learning)
  • Supervising Postgraduate Research (Award: Supervising Postgraduate Research)

All named awards share a common set of values and core development outcomes and each named award has its own set of specialist outcomes.
