This year we awarded 11 grants to support learning and teaching projects in a range of topics, including student feedback, assessment, study skills, virtual realities, field-based learning and vodcasts. A very enjoyable Learning & Teaching Conference was held at the Chelmsford Campus on 7th July. The day included an inspirational keynote address from Dr Bill Rankin on mobile learning, a presentation from our Vice Chancellor: "Towards a Learning, Teaching & Assessment Strategy", presentations, workshops on projects being undertaken by our staff and much more. Presentations, the keynote addresses and all our post conference information will be available on the Conference Website during the week begining Monday 12th July.

The Vice Chancellor's Award Nominations have been made. 31 eligible nominations were received (18 from individuals and 13 from teams, that's 122 of our staff). 13 were received from Support Service Departments and 18 from the Academic Faculties. Successful nominees will be announced in June, and the Awards presented at the Summer Parties.
